The screen options allow you to decide what you can and can’t see on you your WordPress editor website page.

Screen options
The screen options are located in the top right corner on any page on your WordPress editor website as seen in the image below.
Boxes menu
If you click on the screen options it will open a menu called boxes. You will see that there are words with checkboxes by them. These words are the different sections, modules, and columns that you see on the page that you are currently on.
2.1 For example, you see that the word welcome is checked. The section that correlates with that is welcome to WordPress.
Your Content Goes Here
If you want to get rid of a section on your page, just uncheck the box next to the section that you want to get rid of.
3.1 For example if you uncheck the word welcome it gets rid of the welcome section.
3.2 To get it back, just recheck the box.
