A Whois domain lookup enables you to track the ownership and duration of a domain name. Just as houses are registered with a governing authority, domain registries keep records detailing each purchased domain name, its owner, and its expiration date.

The Whois database provides essential information about domain names, including their registration and expiration dates, ownership and contact details, nameserver information, and the registrar through which the domain was acquired.

An IP address is a unique identifier for a server on the internet. Much like a telephone number connects you to a specific phone on a telecom network, an IP address enables your computer to connect to a particular server online.

Domain names and IP addresses form the foundation upon which the entire World Wide Web is constructed.

IP numbers are allocated to networking organizations, with governing bodies maintaining records for each IP and its assigned organization. A whois IP lookup enables you to track these details for a domain.

In the search box above, enter the domain or IP address you wish to investigate with a Whois lookup. We will access the relevant database and present you with the most recent record.
When you purchase a domain, the details shared with your registrar are forwarded to the Registry for inclusion in the Whois database. To update the Whois contact information for your domains, please contact your registrar.
Certain registrars provide privacy protection services that let customers conceal their real contact details in Whois search results, safeguarding against spammers and scammers. Contact your registrar to explore your options.
When a domain name owner utilizes the privacy protection services of their registrar, certain details might be obscured in the Whois lookup results. Furthermore, some registries may intentionally hide information to comply with local data privacy laws.
As per ICANN guidelines, registrars must ensure the accuracy of a domain name owner’s contact information in the Whois database. Typically, registrars rely on the details submitted by the buyer at the time of domain registration.

If your information does not align with the Whois results, you can update it by contacting your Registrar. They will assist you in making the necessary changes. Once your information is updated, the Whois record will be adjusted accordingly. Typically, it takes about 24-48 hours for these changes to be reflected in the Whois database.

Utilize the Whois lookup service to check a domain name’s registration status. If the domain is unregistered and available, you can proceed to register it via Whois.com.

If the domain name is already registered, you have two options: you can either register alternative domain names we recommend or use the provided contact information to reach out to the owner and negotiate a sale courteously. Please remember that unsolicited contact using information from the Whois lookup service is prohibited.

To check a domain name’s availability, search for it in the Whois database. This will inform you if the domain name you’re interested in is available. Repeatedly checking multiple domain names over time can help you compile a list of available options.
