Bullitt County Public Library works hard to stay connected with the community and is a viable resource for the area. With its newest location now open in Mt. Washington, the library continues to be an example of how a positive relationship with the community will help both the library system and residents. MoDuet helps Bullitt County Public Library connect with the community.

Bullitt County Public Library was in need of a way to better communicate with the community as well as the ability to offer material and resources through their website. Thirteen thousand people visit bcplib.org each month. MoDuet helped them launch a new WordPress website with a custom design and functionality. The new website is a playful and easy to use platform.

The website was designed with the library’s content and audience in mind. It allows the Library to embed content from third party websites without losing the design or user experience that is shared throughout the site. MoDuet also built custom plugins to allow the library to filter resources and import a third party catalog system.

In addition to their online catalog, the public can access a wide range of benefits and resources just by going to bcplib.org. Did you know Bullitt County Public Library offers five digital download and streaming services twenty four hours a day? They have partnered with services such as Hoopla, Flipster, Kanopy and Kentucky Libraries Unbound/OverDrive to provide e-books, audio, movies and more direct from the library’s website.

The Bullitt County Library System has many community outreach programs and with several locations. They use the website to post events ranging from public meetings to youth and adult specific programs. Popular events include GED prep assistance in partnership with Kentucky Adult Education’s SkillsU and Yoga where a person can clear their mind while gaining flexibility.
